     Jack Mitchell Wyeth, 95, of Peoria, formerly of Charleston, passed away at 1:15 a.m. on Tuesday, February 21, 2017 at Lutheran Hillside Village in Peoria.
     Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. on Friday, February 24, 2017at Clary Funeral Home, 3004 West Lake Avenue in Peoria. Reverend Dwight Winnett will officiate. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment will be at Roselawn Cemetery in Charleston.
     Jack was born on September 8, 1921 in Charleston, a son of Roscoe and Mabel (Mitchell) Wyeth. They preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by his brother, James Wyeth.
     He is survived by his brother, Jerry Wyeth of Peoria; nieces, Jennifer Wyeth of Peoria, Angela (Patrick) Northcutt of O’Fallon and Jean-Marie (Mark) Gilstrap of Farmington; great nephew, Tyler Northcutt; and several cousins.
     Jack was a US Army Veteran and served in both World War II and the Korean War. After his military service, he received his Master’s Degree and was an audiologist for the VA Boston Healthcare System.
     He was a member of First Christian Church in Charleston.
     Jack was a very talented musician. He played the piano and the recorder and sang. He was an accomplished artist in painting, drawing and calligraphy. Some of his favorite pastimes were spent reading books and watching old movies.
